In 1808-1809, Shree Swami Samarth maharaj during his Godavari prigrimage, he decided to rest under Banyan tree.For this reason, His Holiness Gurumauli laid foundation of Shree Gurupeeth on Nov 1, 1991 in presence of millions of Sevekari. The unique feature of this Gurupeeth is, it was build from contributions of common people and labour service. Shree Gurupeeth is epitome of Indian Vastushastra. Every aspect of Vastushastra has been incorporated while constructing the Shree Gurupeeth. Shree yantra has placed at summit which makes it unique and powerful perpetual source for prosperity and vibrant spiritual atmosphere for knowledge, devotion and service.

His Holiness Gurumauli further enhanced the spiritual glory of Shree Gurupeeth by installing here consecreted forms of Dash Mahavidyas and Ashta Bhairavas, the ten forms of Goddess Parvati and the eight forms of the Soldiers of Shiva besides several other symbols of high spiritual energy. The court of Shree Swami Samarth has idols of Shree Kalbhairav, divine mothers Godess shree Renuka, Godess Shree Mahalakshmi, Godess Tulajabhavani, Goddess Sapthshrungi and idol of great devotee of Lord Rama, Five faced Humuman. Everyday prayers and aarati takes place thrice a day – Morning 8:00AM (Bhoopali), 10:30AM and 6:00PM and palkhi procession for devotees to submerge into devotion of Swami. Fourth Saturday of every month, Shree Gurupeeth hosts Satsang of His Holiness Gurumauli and all sevekari get previledged to listen nectur words and receive blessings of His Holiness Gurumauli.
